Windows may ask before running a new installer.

ISOREK installers are signed, but Microsoft Defender SmartScreen can still show a warning while a new publisher and Azure-signed certificate build reputation in Microsoft's systems.

What the warning means

This warning does not automatically mean the installer is unsafe. It usually means Windows has not seen enough installs from this publisher yet. ISOREK is new in the software market, so reputation systems can be cautious at first.

The installer is still protected by code signing. The certificate helps confirm who published the app and helps protect the installer from alteration after publication.

What to check

  • The installer came from the official ISOREK download page.
  • User Account Control shows Verified publisher: Marc-Andre Landry.
  • The certificate information says it protects software from alteration after publication.
